Opportunity is Knocking: Senior Accountant

Your Essential Responsibilities:

Daily Operational Accounting Duties:

  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and update accounting records accordingly.
  • Oversee company expense process, including accounts payable, vendor management, and annual 1099 submission.
  • Facilitate the weekly bill pay process for final approval and payment.
  • Support product and sales department on invoice reconciliations and accounts receivable collections.
  • Process credit applications and requests, review credit reports, and prepare recommendations.
  • Facilitate monthly sales and use tax filings using Avalara to ensure compliance with state and local jurisdictions.

General corporate accounting duties:

  • Manage fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.
  • Own the preparation of routine and non-routine accounting journal entries.
  • Analyze and reconcile all general ledger accounts and adjust as necessary.
  • Perform month-end close on a timely basis.
  • Assist with monthly financial statement reporting and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly cost of goods sold and manufacturing variance reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting process.
  • All other duties as assigned

Candidate Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline is required
  • Minimum five-years of relevant experience in an accounting role is required

A Great Candidate's Skill Set:

  • In-depth knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • MS office (outlook, word, teams, and advanced excel skills)
  • NetSuite experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Capable of working independently as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
